Since I’ve had my iPhone 14 the iCloud backup icon looks like this. Deleted and repeated. Same. Checked friends phone. Same.

Anybody else looking like this.

Hi Bro
I got my iPhone 14 Pro Max yesterday
Now I realised I have the same issue
Not a function issue
But it seems annoying

Hello,
Same problem for me…
I notices that the issue shows itself in iTunes (pc version). When the phone is plugged in a generic icon is used instead of a customized one.
I have no idea how it can be (or even if) fixed.

No big deal but definitely something annoying, and not knowing the root cause is a bit puzzling…

Hi. I have an iPhone 14 pro with the same problem. The iphone icon is missing in the icloud back up. Even the device name changes depending where you see the back up. I hope Apple solves it updating ios.

Deleted the backup and backed up again (took a few tries) and the icon is back. 'This iPhone' was in the wrong locale/language, so had to change languages under settings, change them back to English and restart the phone. Icon with the correct language is now back. Weird bug.

The iPhone 14 looks different. Maybe they are still working on an icon with the dynamic notch. If you look under Apple ID they are still using the same icon as the old phones.

What about when you check on your other devices? And what do you mean, took a few tries?
Icon appears on other devices. By a few tries, I mean I deleted the iCloud backup and then backed up my iPhone again. I had to do that a few times.

Thank you. I think I’ll wait for a fix in that case.
You don't have to sign in/out of iCloud or set up your phone or anything like. It's literally 'delete backup' and then 'backup this phone.' Pretty simple and low risk.

I would guess if you tried it now, it would 'fix' the bug. Looks like a backend change (the missing asset) has been deployed, given that it now works for me and another MR member. I'd try it at least once.

Yeah, I’ve got this now. Funny I didn’t get it first time I took a backup of the new phone.

I had the same issue but it fixed itself. I‘d just wait instead of going through the strain of re-uploading a full backup again.

Deleted old backup and created a new one. Icon still missing.
