iCloud Backup Keeps Deleted Apps

Has anyone else here noticed how iCloud backup will continue to store data for apps you've uninstalled from your phone? I suppose this may be intentional, but it just seems like a waste of space.

Has anyone else noticed this and/or found a "fix"?

Just delete the data from those apps.
