Since upgrading to iOS 9 my iPhone 6 Plus backup has got huge (used to be about 2.2GB, now about 4GB) and it keeps growing. I also can't delete the backup from the iPhone (I get a weird error message)

Does anyone else have this issue? I'm getting emails from iCloud saying my space is almost used up.

I guess I'll switch back to iTunes backups and maybe go a restore. Very odd though.

Turn off cloud backup, delete it via another device or from your desktop, turn back on and perform a backup.

Yeah, I've done that and it seemed OK for a bit before 9.1 came out. I'm not sure if it's worth backing up to iTunes and doing a restore but that takes hours.

Why is it taking hours to backup via iTunes. I use iTunes once a week to back up and the cloud nightly. Just go to another device and delete your current iCloud backup and start again. I do not back up my images on the cloud and only use iTunes to do that with an encrypted backup.
