icloud backup problem

hello
iphone SE

my i cloud is only using 2GB out of 5GB
the settings in my phone for i cloud backup indicate photos are off so the only things being backed up are
contacts,calendars,reminders,notes,safari

when i initiate an i cloud backup is says storage is full?
how can this be possible when photos are off and i have 3GB of storage remaining?

Sometimes iCloud backup gets corrupted. If you delete the backup, then run a backup, it usually fixes it. (If you're worried about losing something, make an iTunes backup first. I never did, but you might want to.)
