Hi,
I did preorder an iphone 7 and wanted to do a backup of my current iphone.
I'm using 18GB on my iphone and bought iCloud space (50GB). When I do a backup of my phone there is something wrong since it is only doing a backup of 3.43Gb instead of the 18GB. I'm doing something wrong or is there something I don't understand or do not set correctly?

Thanks,

Thanks,
iCloud backups only upload files that are unique to you.

So your apps and things won't back up, because Apple has copies of these on their servers already.

Additionally if you have iCloud Photo Library turned on, your phone won't upload your photos again, since they are already in iCloud. This can make your backup seem smaller than you would expect.

When you restore from an iCloud backup, your device downloads apps and things directly from Apple's servers.

Read more about what is backed up here.
