I am running very low on space on my MacBook. I have a lot of content on my iPad which clogs up all of the free space on my computer whenever I back it up. I have now enabled iCloud backups and was wondering whether it would be ok to delete my old iPad backup from iTunes. Also, is it a good idea to try and save space by not syncing apps with iTunes since iCloud backs up app data as well? I tried to uncheck the "Sync Apps" box under the Apps pane for my iPad while it was connected to iTunes and this ominous message popped up: "Are you sure you do not want to sync apps? All existing apps and their data on the iPad will be removed." What do you guys recommend I do?

As a solution, I don't think it's a bad idea if you really need the space. But, I would wait a while until you're sure of how reliable iCloud proves to be.
