Does anyone know or perhaps Apple has a document that shows what characters are allowed in an @icloud.com email address? Specifically, I am wondering if (.) period, (_) underscore, and (-) hyphen are allowed?

I appreciate any help.
Thanks

I think they adhere to RFC 2822...so no periods - that won't work because it's a delimiter. I don't think hyphens are good either. Underscores are okay.

One of these days I am really temped to use an OS X only symbol the option, shift,k Apple symbol() in my iCloud password since Windows/Linux computers can't see/make that symbol.
