Okay, so my parter wants to use calendar function between all of his Apple devices for things like appointments, work shifts, reminders etc. I have been using Google calendar for this and synced Google calendar with iCal and my iOS devices. However, I have nothing in my calendar that I will miss so I don't mind starting from scratch also.
So what is the best way to start a calendar system with iCloud? Just erase the Google calendar credentials and use iCloud only and let it sync automatically between devices? Now while I'm sure that I can figure it out, my partner will have a bit of trouble adjusting from a pen and paper diary to a digital one, so he needs to set it up right the first time.
It's just a little scary learning something new, especially when it is for something as important as my class and study schedule and my partners work schedule. He is really pumped about just telling Siri when his shifts are after the boss calls him, and then Siri adds it to the iPhone calendar and then it is available on his iPad and MacBook too. It sounds like a fantastic way to stay organised, but I'm just not sure how iCal fits into this or if we are expected to use iCloud.com, or both.
