I want to get my contacts on iCloud on my computer, but I don't have Microsoft Outlook, and it costs £100 from Microsoft itself... I know there are places I can get it cheaper, but the main reason I wanted to get Contacts on my computer was because I wanted to create contact groups. I was told this was the only way... does anyone know any other way, so I can create different groups for people like relatives, work, friends etc.?

    • Click on the Contacts icon
    • Then on red ribbon
    • To create a Group, click on the + sign located on the Bottom Right Corner

You dont need to put them on your computer to create groups you can do it all in Icloud. Go to web site icloud.com and log on and then select address book
Click on the little red box on the top of the Icloud address book and you will get a group page on left and contacts on right. You can use the Plus sign to create groups and just drag contacts into the groups.

but the whole point is it's not showing my iPhone contacts in iCloud. it just has one, which is my own number, and no-one else - despite me backing up from my iphone.

You will not get your contacts in Icloud by backing up you have to sync with icloud. On the actual phone under settings /icloud and turn on contacts. One of the points of Icloud is you no longer need a computer.

Ahhhh turning on contacts and the rest made it work, thanks ;) but yeah to create contact groups you can't do it off your iphone itself (unless you go on the icloud website on it).
