"Allow apps to store documents and data in iCloud"

Does anyone know what this feature is used for? I'm confused. What files are being synced? (I don't use iWork)

How do I view/access these files on my computer?

That's the $64 million question.

Worst answer ever.

Certain apps can take advantage of storing their created documents in the cloud, for example, Goodreader. I also believe that data like game saves are stored in the cloud.

Infinity Blade 2 stores it save games as documents on iCloud.

Admittedly, in a way that's so broken it deletes save gamed progress every time it syncs or restarts the app.
