I'm using various iCloud apps. I'm aware iCloud uses Microsoft and Amazon servers to store the data. It should make a secure (https) connection to these servers, but it does not on my Mac. For example, the UBD process makes connection to:

blob.core.windows.net
s3.amazonaws.com

both go over port 80 (http), so unsecured. If I block these servers over this port using Little Snitch, no documents get synced to my Mac, so I have to allow.

Is my data in danger now? Is something wrong with iCloud on my Mac? On the Apple site, Apple states that data is encrypted and transported over ssl: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4865

Can somebody fill me in?

P.S. This concerns data that is received to my Mac. Data that is uploaded from my Mac seem to use https connection.
