iCloud doesn't sync old contacts

I'm having some issues with syncing all my contacts ON IPHONE 5 to my contacts on my MAC OSX

Only contacts that are added quite recent are able to be saved in the MAC contacts, but not the older ones.

Not sure if this info helps, before using the iphone i used a samsung and synced my contacts with Gmail.
