Hey Folks!

So I just switched from OneDrive to iCloud Drive on copied all my folders over to the iCloud Drive folder on my Mac. As you know, iCloud Drive has this folder system for App files. I mean that it shows me all these folders for my different apps that are using iCloud Drive. On OneDrive I used to have just 6 folders, as seen in the screenshot below. Now I would like to just make a new folder called "Apps" and put all those app folders iCloud made itself into that. Is that possible? Thank you!

Unfortunately, I don't think so.

However, you could do what I have done.

Uncheck the Applications you don't want to have "special" App folders in: System Preferences -> iCloud -> iCloud Drive (Press Options...).
Delete the "special" App folders in iCloud Drive.

You can still save like normally to iCloud Drive. Applications simply won't create their own "special" App folders.

Thanks a lot! Another question just popped up in my mind: Can I somehow tell iCloud Drive on my second Mac that it should not download a certain folder to that Mac? I need and used that feature in OneDrive that you could choose which files to download to a Mac.

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know how to do that. I imagine you can't do it because iCloud Drive seem to be very lacking when it comes to features like this.

For those that use and consider using onedrive, WATCH OUT FOR THE IOS CAMERA BACKUP BUG!
We've been complaining for months on an important bug and Microsoft, despite acknowledging the bug, just released a interface update? That's just disrespectful.
