iCloud Drive using disk space while nothing is in iCloud Drive

Hi,

As seen in the title, iCloud drive is using 12,35GB on my Macbook, but when I go to iCloud Drive in Finder, nothing is in there. How can I fix this?

Do you have iCloud Drive syncing of Documents or Desktop enabled under iCloud Drive settings?

I used to, I turned it off 1,5 week ago (or something like that)

I suppose it could be remnants of that. Try to force a rebuild of the Spotlight index of your Macintosh HD.

It is remnants of icloud /desktop/documents. Don't use notes on your iPhone either, for 30 days. It seems that after about 30 days the deleted iCloud dox and desktop will be removed from iCloud. You can also have a look at the files in Library/containers/com.apple.notes/ You will likely see many gigabytes of files, regardless of how large your dox or desktop wwere.
