Does anyone have iCloud duplicates? For example, on iCloud.com I have twice as many numbers ( 2 babes, 2 toms etc). But on all my devices just one copy. Should I just disable iCloud for now?

Yes...
I had duplicates all the time, especially in my calendar. I deleted my iCloud account numerous times and set it up again, running into the same issues. I got so frustrated that I decided to disable it for the time being. It is a great service add up for Apple users, but for now it is still in baby steps. Will wait a little longer until they fix it. 🙂

To eliminate dupes in iCal - open iCal, on the brown boarder on top of calendar click on Calendar. When you get drop-down, uncheck all the On My Mac choices and check the desired iCloud choices. With the On MY Mac choices unchecked, all the dupes will disappear. 😉
