iCloud email latency issue

Hello,

I use a .iCloud email address since a couple of years and while I like the way my emails get synchronized all across my devices I have experienced a couple of issues here and there:

- latency: sometimes I open my mail app on the iPhone 7 Plus but the app gets stuck for a few seconds
- occasionally the unread message indicator stays even after an email has been read

Have you experienced the same?
Any solution or work around to fix it?
