    Hi All,

I was wondering. I know that iTunes now allows you to download previous purchases you have made to you computer. In fact, I am doing that now. However, I have some noob questions as to how it all works.

As I understand, Cloud will now allow you backup to the cloud and use the cloud and a central repository for all your devices to access your music etc.

Therefore, is there a reason to download music to your computer and use up all the hard drive space if you can utilize it from the cloud?

or do I just have a fundamental misunderstanding of how this all works?

Please provide an overview if you could....

    Thanks!

That's not how it works. iCloud keeps the pertinent information about your previously purchased programs, apps, and music, but it isn't STORED there. Therefore you cannot just delete it off of you computer so you can stream. It keeps that information so that you can download it again without getting charged for it.

It DOES however keep contacts, photos, and backups in the cloud. It also keeps iWork documents in the cloud.
