TL; DR in the process of shutting down my second iCloud account I asked for "a copy of your data". The download was large but unzipping it didn't reveal any large folders or files.
I've used a Mac since the Apple II so over the years I unfortunately ended up with two iCloud accounts. In preperation of finally merging and getting rid of one of them I wanted to just download all the data from the account I want to close (or at least not use any more).
I used the "get a copy of your data". I thought this would be the simplest, not wanting to take the time now to sort through everything.
I followed the instructions to get a copy of everything.
After a week or so the data became available. I downloaded all the individual folders. Then there was the large iCloud Drive folder. I downloaded it. (took almost a half day) This resulted in a zip file that is about 18GB. I unzip it using Archive Utility and it creates an iCloud Drive folder with several csv files and a Desktop folder with one file and iCloudUsageData Set1.zip which can be unzipped to create another csv.
But none of these is even close to 100MB let alone 18GB. If I do a getinfo on the folder it still says 18GB. I tried the command shift period thing and using terminal ls -al and still don't see anything that big.
Suggestions? (Besides going to iCloud and downloading manually)
