iCloud grayed out on iPad

    I have updated both iTunes and ios. Apparently, when I was given the option to sign up or into iCloud, I did not take it. When I follow the instructions on the Apple website (click settings on iPad and click on iCloud to make changes), the iCloud is grayed out. I am unable to access it. I have obviously missed something here. Can someone - anyone? - help me? I am teetering on the edge of the iCliff!!! Thanks!

    Had the same issur. Check to make sure restrictions are turned off. I had mine set so you couldn't change emails address settings.

    Where are Restrictions?

    Thanks for taking time to respond. Where would I find the restrictions setting?

    If I recall correctly, they're under general settings.

    Whew!!! I feel like a weight has been lifted. Thank you both for your help. I am stepping away from the edge now!!!!

    Can you not add a iCloud account through the Mail, Contacts and Calendar bit in settings, or create one from that?
