So I have to do a reinstall on macOS Monterey (12.6.8) on my iMac and my iCloud sign in seems to be stuck, All of the items are checked except keychain so in system preferences it says I need to login again for everything to be available.

System Preferences > iCloud I have the “Update Apple ID Settings” and a continue button. So when I click continue it asks for my iCloud password which I type in, it loads for a second and seems to loop back to the same issue.

I don’t have any other issues with any other iCloud areas and I have the same iCloud account logged in on a macbook air running the exact same OS that is working properly.

I have tried to Reset Keychain access thinking that might be the issue but that did not seem to help.

When I go to

System Pref > iCloud > iCloud and try to check the Keychain checkbox I get this message

“iCloud Keychain Uses End-to-End Encryption

Your Apple ID settings need to be updated so this Mac Pro can use end-to-end encryption.”

No idea how to update my AppleID which seems to work on 3 other macs.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot?
