What’s with the “Subscriber Edition” badge. It looks so out of place.
It’s pretty much the same badge as the one in Apple News (I believe this one has been around for a few years). I’ve always found this badge to be out of place, but it’s even worse in iCloud. Let’s hope the beta process will fix this.

Wow, this looks very close to how things are on some Android phones. Like, almost an exact copy.
Normally, I like iOS getting features from Android, but in this case, no. The new design looks dated compared to the current one. Especially with that weird badge. Looks extremely old and unnatural.
Overall, I like the UX in Android better than iOS, but much prefer the UI in iOS compared to "most" Android phones.
What's going on here is that Apple is importing the UI while mostly leaving the UX as is, which is the worst of both worlds and makes iOS lose its unique look and feel.

Yeah I find it harder and harder to use iOS now, I don't know how elder people can even use it.
I tried the new search in photos, and cannot intuitively find a way to exit the search screen. The search button is on the top but the search bar appears from the bottom.
This resonates as a long-time android and windows user - always been told apple had a more user friendly design and easy to use (which to me means intuitive/seamless) and that's just not been my experience for the past year using iphone and mac. I think when i used Mac in the 90s that may have been more true.

The iPhone is a personal device, like many other smartphones right? We can all agree on this.

So WHY ON EARTH does iCloud or Settings in iOS and iPadOS NEED to show the person's full name and picture at the TOP of screen when the account has NEVER been changed to another?!

Does everyone around me - especially sitting in a public area or on public transit or at work - counterparts that are NOT my colleagues yet near me at say a major corporate meeting - NEED TO KNOW my FULL name by overlooking my screen?!

Surely I, nor YOU on your iPhone (or any phone as I'm on Samsung so they get the same ire here) - NEED to know our OWN NAME in any Settings or Cloud application on device. SHOW it 1 time ONLY with end user option to hide or remove it UNTIL the account has changed and with a warning whenever that is done!
@omglolbbq

I have no idea why you disagreed with my post above. I guess you think it's a good idea to see your own name at the top of settings or Cloud on your personal device when you already know it's you and your account and thus no chnage/switch in an account occured. Wierd to be reminded of whom you are but each to their own I guess.

This is what happens when everything goes subscription. A badge is a cheap way to make people who pay extra feel special.

That said, if this replaces the extremely slow and buggy current iCloud page with something that actually feels native and not like a really bad web view, then fine.

how many times are you going into iCloud settings while around others? I feel like I've never once needed to go into iCloud settings while I was around another person..

All the time, unfortunately. I don't any longer via ios or Apple ecosystem but it's still there with Samsung Cloud in its devices main settings.

Ios still has apps that do not have their own built in settings for whatever reason. Sometimes switch qpps you'll pass by an open Settings card as well.
