iCloud Keyboard Shortcuts to Work with Firefox?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a way of getting the iCloud synced text shortcuts to work with Firefox?

i.e. I type "brb" and it expands to "be right back"?

Obviously it works with Safari, but it would be nice for it to work with Firefox too?

Do only applications created by Apple have access to these synced shortcuts?
