iCloud Mail has been pretty much unresponsive for me for almost a week now.
I get same problem when I try to access Mail through the iCloud website so its nothing to do with my devices.
Anyone else still having problems?

Just got junk mail from Adobe at 3:54 PM here. But Apple System Status is showing a problem, plus a lot of other issues that have been resolved.

Problem seems to come and go.. I can receive emails but they are taking forever to load.
I guess it's only effecting some users. I'm in the UK.

The description matches up with what I've been experiencing, but despite what it says, it has not been resolved (not for me anyway). It also didn't last 2 hours. I've had this for about a week now!
Yes...it's sick today. But the status page does show it and some other iCloud items are having an "issue".
