iCloud Mail issues Easter Sunday?

Is anyone seeing an issue sending mail from the Mac Mail app? I've tried sending several this morning with no luck. I've done the typical "Windows mentality" troubleshooting of shutting down mail, restarting...etc. Nothing.

Any ideas?

You might want to delete the account and re-add it in Mail

Yes, I saw the same thing.

It appears that p04-smtp.mail.me.com is down (or not responding). I had to reconfigure Mail.app to use a different SMTP server.

I can confirm that smtp authentication servers were up/down, on and off today. Just started working for a SL machine but mail shows auth error on a different machine running Lion. Weird.

I saw problems through Monday. The iPhone and iPad never failed.
