Over the weekend I uploaded all my lossless iTunes albums to iCloud via Apple Music - on my MacBook at home.

At work on my Windows PC running iTunes, I was expecting to see all the uploaded lossless albums (for music not available on the iTunes Store) downgraded to AAC 256kbps.

However - they're all sitting there at much higher rates.

Have I misunderstood the process?

Have attached an example screenshot.

Its iCloud status is matched (not uploaded), which means it's playing a file already on the iTunes Store, which for some reason appears to be available at 614 Kbps.

I have at least 1000 tracks in my library available at 600Kbps or higher.

Not complaining though :)
