Well it seems there's another problem with IML: I have an album that is DJ-mixed. When I enable iCloud Music Library, it seems to match track 1 instead of uploading it. The problem is it matches the Single version of the track, which means it doesn't flow properly into track 2 as it should on a DJ-mixed album.

It seems to me the matching process must just look at the artist and track name. Why on Earth doesn't it include album name too, which would more or less eliminate mis-matches songs?

Yeah. Same thing happened over here. Just not for the first song, but random songs within the album.

This again shows why apple needs to add a "Wrong match. Upload instead."-Button

I guess if the Name, interpret and length match, it is replaced with the single version. Otherwise not.

You're right in that it completely ignores album name and just looks at artist and track name (mostly track name.) There is a workaround I've found for mismatched songs.

If you have a lot of mismatched stuff this will be tedious. (Believe me, I had to do this method for 2000+ tracks in my library)

- Take note of which songs were mismatched
- Remove the album with mismatched songs.
- In iTunes edit the track name of the songs that mismatched (instead of "Track Name Here" I did "AlbumNameTrack Name Here" no space between what you add at the start and the real track name. I chose album name just because but it can be anything.)
- Once the correct track names have been edited you can right click the album and select "add to iCloud Music Library".

Editing the track names forces it to not see the match (or mismatch) and uploads your file instead.

Once it's back up on iCloud music library and uploaded you can then edit the track names back to normal.

Has this been fixed in Apple Music now? Or does it still match tracks from DJ-mixed albums and replace them with single, unmixed versions?

Last time I checked it wasn't fixed – that was about three months ago. I hope that when it IS fixed I'll find out here, because it's a "feature" that makes me stay away from AM.

One would think that implementing "incorrect match" right-click/force-click option shouldn't be SO difficult...
