Need some help guys:

I am anti - iCloud music library because of an experience where it fudged my library up, and that seems to be a still valid concern.

I recently just bought an Apple music subscription, and I would love to be able to add songs to a playlist stored on my iPhone. Here is my question:

I know enabling iCloud Music Library on my Mac will cause my library to upload to the cloud, but will enabling it on my phone do that too? In other words, enabling it shouldn't alter my iTunes library on my phone in any way?

My idea is that I can enable iCloud music library on my iPhone to add songs to a playlist, then disable it when I want to sync with iTunes, then re enable it on my iPhone after syncing, and this should theoretically allow me to use Apple music play lists while not having my iTunes library (on my phone or computer) ever being effected? So long as I never enable icloud music library on my Mac?

I understand I would not be able to access playlists on my Mac, but I plan to really use Apple Music on mobile. Help appreciated!!

SHORT: The only way to mess up my iTunes library is by enabling iCloud music library on my mac? Enabling it on my phone should leave my synced music unaffected? - I just have to disable it each time I want to sync with iTunes?
