I’m trying to help my cousin with a weird problem I’ve never seen before. Kind of out of nowhere, her iCloud Music Library toggle is missing in the Music section of Settings. She’s logged into iCloud and iTunes on the same Apple ID, she’s running the most up to date software, and yet there is no option at all to turn on iCloud music library in Settings - the switch is just not there. I’ve attached screenshots of what her settings look like. Have any of you seen this before and know how to fix it?

WAG here: country code maybe incorrect or messed up? Might try going into the account info for the id and verify correct country. Or sign out, sign in, verify country code (not sure if all countries support iTunes Cloud).

try going to Music account info and see what that says:
Music / For You / (top right User image) / Account Info.

you might also want to check to make sure that that iOS device is an listed as an authorized device in yr list of authorized devices.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! It turned out that her iTunes Match account had unknowingly expired. Once we fixed that everything came back and she was good to go.

Heh! That'll get you; it only bills once a year so it's easy to forget about it.

I wonder why Apple still even charges for that. It doesn't them much and is a great springboard for them to upsell Apple Music.

I’m pretty sure you don’t need Match now because Apple Music matches for you. I disabled mine a while ago and all my Match tracks remained in my liberies.

She actually doesn’t subscribe to Apple Music, just Match.
