I have iCloud drive installed on Windows 7, an iPhone 6, and an iPad4. iCloud on the Windows computer is used to update a big numbers spreadsheet, that then in theory will be accessible by the iPhone and iPad.

The iPhone works without a hitch. The iPad however could never see an updated version of the spreadsheet. Trying to create a new spreadsheet on the iPad would result in a new document with an arrow over it to indicate the iPad was trying to upload it to iCloud... but it would never go away/complete.

Anyway, I read online that doing a "Reset Network Settings" has worked for a lot of people, so I tried that, rebooted, and reconnected. Still nothing. I then opened Numbers on the iPad and looked in iCloud drive... it showed the documents and then POOF they all disappeared!!

What would have caused this? Furthermore why would an iPhone and iPad configured identically in their iCloud settings be inconsistent in how they work? What should I do to get the iPad to work correctly going forward... and is there any way to recover that data from iCloud?
