iCloud Pages Doc Opening in Terminal

IGNORE: Sorry. Seems I just had an old version of Pages on my Mac, so it wouldn't utilize iCloud. $20 later and all taken care of. Thanks.

Someone help, please. I have a document I typed out on my iPad. I tried to then open it on my Mac. I did this by going to Spotlight and finding the document. When I clicked to open it, the Terminal window pops up with the name of the file. Any idea of why Pages isn't opening and showing the doc?
