I'm considering moving to iCloud Photo Library, but I'm a bit confused with regards to backup. I've been using a referenced library with Photos on Mac, and use a backup service.
What is the backup strategy for files imported into Mac Photos app if the optimized storage is enabled? Manually copy the images to another location (external drive) with import?

Disregard. I did some more research and have found it is far too cumbersome. Guess I'll stick to Lightroom with smart previews library on my MacBook, masters on NAS, and NAS auto-backup to iDrive. (With annual optical backup)
