I have iCloud photo library enabled. Everything is uploaded to iCloud via my iMac and I use Photos app.

However on my iPhone, all up to date, loads of photos show a white circle with a ! inside. This is on 4G and WiFi at home.

It sits there won't do anything. I'm worried why they wont.

I've restarted, airplane on/off, WiFi on/off. I don't really want to have to turn off iCloud photo library on my iPhone if possible, I had to in the past for a different problem and it took ages to get all pics on again.

Anyone help? They seem to be there on the iMac?

I don't have iCloud photo turned on anymore ..but is this the thing where the photo isn't actually on your phone, there's just a thumbnail of it? If you actually click on the image does it load?

No it doesn't load. others do and don't have the circle + ! on, your correct though it uses a thumbnail,, if you click on it, its blurry while downloading then can see it fully. Normally.

These ones aren't though, you click on the and nothing happens

**edit**
just discovered why after looking on my iMac again. These are actually videos that are still in *.mts format from my camera. Photos on iPhone has generated a thumbnail of them, but can't play them, whereas my iMac can!

I'll need to convert them all into format that iPhone can play for better compatibility.
