iCloud photos confusing as hell!!!!!

Ok PC (windows 8) pictures sorted in folders how do I get those pics in folders into iCloud that will show on phone? I tried but it says you can't upload folders to iCloud. I think it's very complicated to do something so simple. Only pics get uploaded is the ones you take pics of with your phone. REALLY APPLE?

I thought iMatch did that, but cost.

I stay with Dropbox and TunesGo Retro for managing.

Not sure what will happen when iPhoto/Photo Stream goes.

I also need my folders.

Photos app for mac hasn't been released to the public yet. Not sure about the status on windows. In the meantime you could use an app where you can transfer all photos to your camera roll on your iphone. The iphone will then upload them to iCloud. This method will not transfer the folders from your pc though. iCloud will sort it using meta data.

iCloud on the PC has an upload folder that will upload photos to iCloud regardless of how they were taken. idk if it does folders.

If you going to do folders, just use the OneDrive. I use it to sync a bunch of folders and pics to my iPhone. Either do that, or sync it from iTunes.
