iCloud photos not showing on new iPhone?

After some advice here guys. I got a replacement iPhone today, logged into iCloud etc but not of my photos downloaded, I have photos etc turned on along with library but nothing happened. I signed out back in still nothing, I even factory reset the phone same issue, the only photo that appeared was a test photo that I took when I got the phone.

I logged into iCloud.com and all my photos etc are there. I contacted apple who said it needs to be 100% battery and plugged in before the download occurs but to be honest I think I was just getting palmed off.

Anyone any ideas?

No, you're not getting palmed off....iCloud syncing takes time...give it overnight (depending on how huge your library is) and leave your phone plugged in.

You do need to be plugged in for it to work.

Right guys. I'll leave it on the charger overnight and see what happens

I think you also need to be on wifi unless you have use cellular turned on in Photos...
