iCloud says emails sent but no record in sent folder

Periodically iCloud seems to have problems with sending emails. It reads as if it is sending the email after I click the button but upon completion there is no record or thread or any such email in the "sent" folder or any other folder. What's up?

Not unique to you. iCloud mail is troublesome and for many, unreliable. Just do a Google search for iCloud mail problems and you'll be overwhelmed.
