icloud servers

    are people stil having issues with mail on ios saying icloud password is wrong?

    also are able to receive emails but cant send?
    im getting the 906-smtp.mail.me.com failed error message, anybody else still getting that?

    Same here, though different SMTP server...

    I'm getting a constant failure to make connection to p07-smtp.mail.me.com, which is the server my iPhone & iPad set up by default when setting up iCloud......Can receive mail all ok

    Is now close to 2 days now....can this really be due to overloaded servers, still ?!

    p.s. I know you can add another smtp address, such as smtp.me.com, but why does the device use p07-smtp.mail.me.com by default then...??????

    plus all the new iphone 4s users today, server wont be any faster

    Good point...I'm currently using both my Gmail with iCloud. I'm hoping by Monday iCloud will be 100% good to go...but I still don't get why Apple can't figure this out (especially after Jobs said they wouldn't pull another 'MobileMe' server incident)

    what i dont understan is the following...
    i setup my icloud with my hotmail account, and i enabled mail option and created an @me.com email address(keep in mind this is second @me.com i had to create), that one works perfectly... i can send and rec no problem....

    here's the odd part...
    when i go to settings then mail and add the @me email address that i originally created(not the one i created under the icloud that im using hotmail to login win) it doesn't work properly... yesterday i couldnt send or rec, today i can only rec but cant send, also i get password error message

    Glad to read this thread, as I've been wasting a fair bit of time trying to mess about with various cloud-related things. No documents seem to have synched, myname@me.com doesn't seem to work for sending emails (but I have managed to receive some), find my iPad isn't working (but it's fine on the iPod Touch), my password for me.com is rejected in Mail and when trying to log in to iDisk from iOS Numbers.

    Sure some of this is my own lack of knowledge and confusion over the transition from MobileMe to iCloud, but giving up now, I'll try again next week sometime. My brain hurts.

    But we've got various different names - iDisk, MobileMe, iCloud, me.com - all floating around in applications and on Apple' website, and all seemingly current. It's no wonder that people are confused.

    Well, someone at Apple's server centre must have found the On switch and flicked it....

    After 3+ days, my outgoing emails are now working with the default setup smtp...! Well done Apple...!:rolleyes:

    This just started happening a bit ago for me. Emails are coming in fine, but taking forever to go out.

    I do not receive any email since 26th iCloud.com and mail

    Hi Guys, i move from mobile me my 3 .me accounts to iCloud.com and have setup in all devices, iPad, iPHONE, iMac, Mac Book Air and Pro, but since 26th i do not receive any email in my mac mail but also do not receive in iCloud.com .
    I spoke with apple support by phone and they don't know whats happened , so they open a ticket issue for the engineers send answer. Still nothing .

    Someone may are able to help or experience same problem ?
