iCloud Syncing Issues

Hi!

I have Reminders on iOS 6, Mountain Lion 10.8.1 and iCloud.com.

My problem is that when I add a reminder on my Mac or iCloud.com, it won't appear on my Reminders iOS app until I actually open the app. I mean, there's no background syncing.

Is it the way it is supposed to work?
