iCloud w/ used mcbp

I heard somewhere that there was a danger when buying a used mcbp, that you could get locked out by the previous owner (and be unable to use icloud).

Is that true? If so, is there way to get around it?

wipe the hard drive and do a fresh install osx problem solved

Go into System Prefs -> iCloud and make sure nobody is signed in.
