Hey folks --
Just thought you might be interested in an icon design contest for an organization I helped start. We're trying to create a universal icon that everyone can use on their blog posts whenever the post is a serious commentary about a paper published in a peer-reviewed journal, and not just a link to a press release or media commentary.
This should help separate the truly thoughtful blog posts from the mindless drivel that populates the internet.
The best bit is the prizes -- if you like science, you'll love these:
* A free subscription to Seed Magazine, a ScienceBlogs coffee mug, and a copy of Natalie Angier’s The Canon
* A subscription to the journal Nature
* A PLoS coffee mug and PLoS ONE T-shirt
* A 1GB USB data key and a travel mug
* A subscription to the CAB Abstracts bibliographic database
All that just for designing three icons!
