Icons are all mixed up, one folder only?

All my icons are in lovely order in every folder on my G5, except for one - every time I open it they're all jumbled up and some are off the window. I go for the 'arrange by name' option, they all spring back again, until the computer is restarted whereupon they're all back as before. How can I make all the sub-folders in this one folder stay in order every time?

In the icon view, they won't stay organized. You have to either select to "Arrange By" or "Clean Up" every time you view.

This never happened before in all my years of Appling. Isn't there any way of keeping them in order? Even my burned DVDs are now doing it.

No, there's no way to keep them arranged in Finder's icon view.
