Icons dont change to default

Hey guys, I'm trying to change my Adobe Illustrator's icon to the default one located in Contents >> Resources the icon is a .icns file, however when i drag it into the Application's "Get Info" window i get this:

Idk whats happening, I want my default icon back, help would be really appreciated. thank you.
