This is a really strange problem I've never encountered in the 10 years I have been using Mac OS until now.

We've recently bought a 1Tb NAS drive for central storage at our workplace, and its linked up to a network of 2 G4's and and a G5 iMac (We're buying new ones soon lol!)

For the first few months of using the NAS, there wasn't a problem, up until a couple of weeks ago.

    Heres the problem:
When I save a file to the hard drive, using ANY app, the new file goes all the way to the bottom of the folder, so much so you have to scroll down and drag it up to where it should save (top left of the folder) which takes about 5 seconds of "scrolling"

This happens when saving from all 3 machines.

Heres a picture I made to try to demonstrate what I mean:
Don't forget to scroll down to see the whole image!

    Help!
    Thanks

How is your sorting rules for the folder. You can acsses them by pressing Command+J. Then you can choose to sort automaticly, and "snap to grid".

Just tried Snap to Grid and it seems to do the trick!

    Thanks!!

It took 15 minutes to write that original post and 15 seconds to fix the problem

    Thanks again :)
