me too, iphone 9.1 also iPad mini on 9.0 won't backup to iCloud via Wifi.

It does say that a backup is done in iTunes via iCloud but doesn't show on device.

No problem 'normal' backup to iTunes.

have tried deleting iCloud backup. To clear things.

Has anyone got a fix for this?

sync issues have been fixed but not iCloud backups

thanks

Delete the current backup you have, turn backups off and back on again. If the deleting of the backup fails, turn off one of the features, camera roll for example. Then try again to delete. After it successfully deletes turn off backups, and back on and then run a back up

Tried that, but thank you.

Any other ideas Apple support say it's because it's beta.

This is very much a case of a watched pot never boils. I had the same issue, so I disabled iCloud Backup for 30 mins, and re-enabled it, still no dice. Then I decided to leave it overnight and hey presto, successful backup completed at 5:51AM. Please be aware this is with 9.1.

If it helps eliminate anything my old iphone 4 running 7.1.2 backs up to iCloud via Wifi perfectly and backup shows on the other two i devices.

Just be patient. I had backup issues yesterday evening, but my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 running iOS 9 GM backed up overnight, and I just backed up my iPod Touch 5th gen on the GM manually.

Yep, I have a feeling it'll work itself out. As I recall, icloud had similar issues last year on ios 8 betas so 'be patient' is good advice.

Are you on a beta? If so, I'd get the GM and try it again or wait till public release hits. I'm on ios 9 beta five and I see backups. I have contemplated doing a fresh install of ios 9 when the public hits, that might need done.

I am on the gm

I think it was a problem with the wifi connection. I was connected to a work wifi which maybe the reason it wouldn't update. I connected to my home wifi and worked immediately!!

I updated both my 6+ and Watch to the new GMs. Hadn't had a backup previously since early July. Now I checked and iCloud backed up last night around 11:50pm. Good stuff! And glad to read the OP figured it out.

Pleased you sorted it stuey12345, I think I'll just have to be patient.
Will switch off backup as advised and connect again late tonight.

Will update on progress for others.
