    Hi,

I have my iDevices backing up to iCloud, however it annoys me a bit that I keep getting 'cannot backup - iCloud storage is full' errors. All of this started not long after iCloud was introduced.

Of course it is nice that you get 5 GB of free iCloud storage, but what use is it if it is full that quickly and you have to buy extra storage.

The way I see it is that iCloud was build mainly as a service for the devices you buy. However, the free iCloud storage tier is now set to 5GB per Apple ID instead of per device you own.

As it is a service for iDevices, it would be logical if the free 5 GB of storage should increase by the number devices you own and not be a fixed size per Apple ID. Why does one need to buy more iCloud storage to keep the backups going if he bought another iDevice from Apple? Not a very consumer-friendly attitude.

Anyway, I had to vent my iCloud annoyances ;)

    Cheers

Turn off Camera Roll from the iCloud backups section. That can save you several GBs of space, and if you use photostream, then the pics are backed up anyway.

Totally agree. Apple should reward customers that buy multiple iOS devices. C'mon Apple, 50GB for the guy that owns 10 iDevices yes?
