If your red Geometric is the same one that I got in the mail (I got the purple one for some reason) last week then the review is the same as the old one when the iPhone 4 first dropped just with the camera cutout fixed and a bigger vibrate switch cutout.

Great case, weird looking asymetrical back that helps with grip, fits both iPhone 4 models, and while nothing new it is a solid case. Your review is now done.

The SeeThru is identical to the Satin except it is a little stiffer and scratches pretty easily on the back if you don't have a skin that is white. You can see every scratch on the standard black back or a dark skin.

All done. Enjoy the weekend.

Oh, and like weisjt, my Gasket had a few edges that weren't quite finished (not all of them but one of the big inner circles actually had a piece that protruded out). Also that lining will come off. It's stuck on there more than the Seidio cases but it will come off with continuious removals.

While not my cup of tea design wise, the Gasket isn't terrible by any means. I like the aluminum and the smooth edges around the antenna band are great for grip and feel actually. If the sharp edges were smooth out on the interior cuts then I actually could recommend it to someone as long as they like the design.

Not as easy as that.. Still have to make a make a review for the companies and some of the subscribers who asked for a video review of them.. Plus I had the black GEO, then I got the Red one and there's a few differences that I'd like to mention. Same goes for the seethru.

I agree with what you say about the Gasket though. If anybody wanted to know why the corners aren't covered, its because getting the case on and off would be impossible. Aluminum is pretty stiff, so if the corners were covered, you'd probably destroy the phone getting the case off

ID America Aluminum Gasket Review & Pics

ID America's new Gasket case for the iPhone 4 is definitely different from some of the other iPhone 4 cases available. That being said, it is also one of the coolest iPhone 4 cases that I have ever seen. Their Skyline Rigid Flex case impressed me very much, but can the Gasket do the same? Read on for the full review of the ID America Gasket case to find out.

Before I begin talking about installation or anything of the sort, let's take a closer look at what the case actually is as you might be a little confused. The Gasket case is crafted out of a very fine brushed aluminum. I have it in the bronze color and it seems to be very polished and shiny upon first glance. The Gasket is basically a snap on cover that slides on very smoothly due to the very soft material that is embedded on the inside of the case.

Let's start off with a little bit of installation instructions for some first timers. To install the ID America Gasket case on your iPhone 4, you simply do what you do with any other back cover, snap it into place. I recommend going on button side first to assure a smoother glide as you install. Once that part is done you will want to slide the other side of your phone into the case until the fit is nice and snug.

Let's take a quick glance over all of the buttons and the port access. On the top of the case you have one large cutout for the sleep/wake button and the audio jack. The audio jack is wide open and you should not have any problems whatsoever when it comes to using headphones and earphones. The sleep/wake button is very easy to get to and I had no trouble registering the phone to turn on. On the side of the case you have one large cutout for the ringer switch and the volume rockers. These were all very easy to access and I had no problem adjusting the volume or silencing my phone. Going to the bottom of the case you have one large cutout for the speaker, the mic, and the dock connector. Almost all cables should fit in here including beefier jacks like Dr. Dre Beats. On the back of the case you have an oval shaped cutout for the camera and the flash. I am pleased to report that I have had no flash issues whatsoever.

Since we took a little tour of the case I figured it would be best to tell you what I like and what I don't like about the case, since that is what I usually do. Anyway, the Gasket's design definitely stole my heart in the unique department. I have never in my life seen an aluminum case (or any type of case for that matter) that features the design and style showcased on the back of the phone. In case you can't tell the case also features two large cutouts for the Apple logo and the iPhone info, as well as an additional circle in the middle.

As well as having a very cool design, the Gasket approaches the market with minimalistic style and function. Most people I know like to either rock their iPhone naked or keep a fairly small case on their phone. It's nice to see that ID America has gone the extra mile and delivered the best of both worlds (simplicity and design) to create a very simple but really sharp looking iPhone 4 case.

Now, the Gasket does have a few downsides. The first being the fact that it is not a very protective case. Since the overall design is minimal and very thin, you will not gain a lot of protection when it comes to shock and drop. Even though there is a thin line of padding on the inside of the case, do not expect the Gasket to protect your phone from bumps and bruises.

I also wanted to point out that the padding on the inside of the case (even though it is held in very tightly) may wiggle around and peel ever so slightly in certain corners. I found two or three areas where the inside padding had peeled away very slightly, even thought it was not nearly enough for the whole thing to fall apart. Even though this is mainly me being OCD about it, it still may be an issue for some people nonetheless. Another thing that I noticed about the case is that since the design has a lot of open sections throughout the case, the open spaces prove to be a huge dust magnet. I was constantly removing the case and cleaning my phone to remove any dust particles and what not. Also, since the backside of the phone is left vulnerable, you may be prone to scratches. Thankfully, ID America has realized this and decided to include one backside screen protector to prevent scratches and what not.

Overall, I think that many people will enjoy the Gasket case for what it is, a simple and minimalistic case that combines both uniqueness and sleek looks into one package. Even though this isn't the case for me, I can recommend the Gasket to anyone who likes to keep their iPhone naked but put some pretty unique styles on. If ID America can fix the dust problem and the slightly peeled padding on the inside, the Gasket could prove to be one of the coolest looking iPhone cases. You can pick up the ID America Gasket in three colors (bronze, silver, and gray) and is retailed at $29.99 on ID America's website. The fancy package comes included with the case itself, two screen protectors, one backside protector, a microfiber cloth, and a squeegee.

Review: Id-America Gasket, Aluminum snap case, HQ pics

Id America Gasket Case
If your a car freak or just into unique cases the Id America is for you. This aluminum snap style case comes in a nice professional package with both front and rear screen protector, squeegee and application card. The case is one of the only aluminum snap style cases on the market, do to reception problems this design just hasn't worked but Id America has figured it out.

PROTECTION
Just like most other snap cases this is a minimal protection and bulk case. It will protect the corners and side from minor drops as well as the back. The Gasket case has no lay on table design and the design has the wholes of a head gasket stamped into the aluminum which leaves holes in the back piece. The case does come with a front and back screen protector which are pretty nice, I could see a small bit of rainbow effect but they fit pretty good, they should help with protecting the back from dust and dirt that might accumulate behind the case.

FUNCTIONALITY
The functionality of the Gasket case is pretty good being that the design allows it to be very light weight and very thin. It slides in and out of the pocket very easily and the gasket design on the back also gives it really good grip, it is also a small downfall as it has kinda sharp edges that you can feel when you run your fingers across and through the holes, they aren't enough to cut you open but they have a sharp feel. The top and bottom cutouts are just two large cutouts so you will not have any problems getting third party connectors or headphone jacks to plug in. the volume and on/off switch are also very easy to access and the design even will allow use of the cdma verizon iPhone. The camera cutout on the back is a large circular cutout that works with the design of the back and will not cause any camera issues.

DESIGN & QUALITY
The name of the case the "gasket" is directly named off of the design that is basically a head gasket from a car stamped into the back of the case. The aluminum is very this and can be manipulated it pressed on hard enough. The inside has a one sided stick foam lining that keeps the aluminum from touching the phone. On my case the foam wasn't cut exactly and it left a sticky residue on the antenna band . The top left corner of the case is not connected to the antenna band like the rest of the side rails which I don't like but it does not effect the case fit at all. The sharp edges really aren't to sharp they just are that way from the precise cut during manufacturing. The quality of the finish and design is pretty good and very unique.

Overall this case might not appeal to many but for those who are into aluminum cases or cars this case is a good case for you. The case comes in grey, bronze, silver, vintage gold and jet black coming soon. You can check these out from the Id-America site and purchase them on there amazon site.

I feel that this case is very unique! It fits the bill and allows pratically all third party headphones! Which I like a lot lot. I was going to order one but they don't seem to ship internationally when I used their Amazon check out. :( Sending them a email now.

Did some re alignment for the foam. Love it now. Titanium grey.
