I have a 16PM and would like to add a 2nd line. My original number I have had for years and don't want to change it, too many people have it as well as banks etc etc.

I'd like to added a 2nd number with my state's area code. Mainly for phone calls. Data would be handy but can use data from the 1st line.

I did a search and see there are a few paid apps that allow this (picking your area code).
I also see where to add an eSIM in the settings.

Has anyone done this and can share their experiences?
Old number is AT&T which gets me service at 99% of the locations I go to but sometimes it's a Verizion only area.

Who would be the cheapest carrier for my needs? Anything else to consider?

You can do this easily with esim. I have Verizon wireless main and us mobile T-Mobile for my secondary number because where I do a part time job there is no Verizon reception but T-Mobile has max. lol
