I cant delete all the Desktop Pictures and Screen Savers which take huge space on my small SSD. I'd appreciate if anyone could tell how to delete it:

    "/Library/Desktop Pictures"
    "/Library/Screen Savers"

I think you have to disable the System Integrity Protection before.

Boot into the recovery partition with cmd+R

    Open the Terminal and type:

    csrutil disable

    Press Enter.

    Reboot.

Thanks, I think it is already disabled, I checked with:

    csrutil status
    System Integrity Protection status: disabled.

But I can try to do that.

What error message do you get? I recently got an Error 53 (I think) every time I tried to delete any file and had to do a clean install. That happened after I messed around with Disk Utility and Paragon to create EXT4 and FAT partitions for installing Linux without an external drive. The permissions got damaged and I couldn't fix it without re-formatting everything.

I have no problem deleting those two folders in the Finder. I tried it before my first post and only got asked for my password. SIP is always disabled on my Mac.

Edit: You could try "First Aid" in Disk Utility to repair the permissions, otherwise the "Root User" should be able to delete EVERYTHING....

Thanks, I managed to delete it as root from the terminal.

I dont know if an error exists for that task, on my system when I delete it I get asked for password but then the file comes back instantly.
