So, what's everyone using now for their ID3 tagging needs? I've looked at some of the stuff in the thread, but a lot of it is pretty old. So, any more recent software that people are finding useful?

Yea I am also looking for solutions. I use ID3 Editor to get at most of the ID3 tags, but it does not have batch editing so it is VERY slow. I even tried to use the record ability of automator to do it autonomously but that does not always work. Anyone have suggestions, and what do you use?

EDIT: I just came across this article. Anyone using TuneUp? http://lifehacker.com/5266613/six-best-mp3-tagging-tools

TugTuner is the best

Only for windows though

I use it on my windows 7 which is running on VMWare

This is great. I know it will help someone in the future when they are searching for a better ID3 Tag Editor, more capable then iTunes.

I just started using The Tagger for Mac. It seems a step up from ID3 Editor and allows for batch changes and more. I would suggest checking it out. I think they offer a trial version so it does not hurt to try.

over the years I have experienced numerous issues with iTunes tagged tracks losing tag information and reverting back to what it was prior to me correcting it. The issues often show up following an iTunes update. It took alot of research but in the end I determined that this was happening because iTunes manages the tag info rather than the info being within the track. So - a requirement for me is that the tagger overwrite the imbedded tag info. Do all of these taggers being discussed do that?
