IDE tags with itunes for dj'ing

    A few of my friends who are dj's use itunes to do thier IDE tags (or whatever its called). What i'm wondering is we use .wav files not mp3 so when we import the .wav files into itunes doesnt it make them into some crappy quality mp3? I heard itunes music quality isn't good....

    Nope, iTunes only converts WMA files automatically. WAVs are safe.

    Also, it's not that the iTunes format itself is shoddy, but audio compression in general causes loss of sound quality.
