I'm sure this would be difficult to create, but could be amazing:

A web interface where you can view live tv streaming from EyeTV on a mac at home. You can choose the channel and the host changes channel.

It would require an application to run on the host which converts the video into a streaming version and puts it onto the web, and also listens out for requests for a channel change, perhaps more. It would also need a web based client on a web server, this could be one site (with logins), or more realistically up to the user to host. It could even be hosted on the mac via sharing.

It would be like slingbox for the iPhone/mac!

What do you guys think? Surely its possible, and could be very popular, imagine free TV on your iPhone, and legally!

easier would be just to use the iphone as a tivo, record your shows and watch them on video

of course apple could always add a tv tuner but yea thats not gonna happen

no, not edge, but one of the many free wifi hotspots. so if you are on holiday, in a cafe or anywhere else, you have tv. you can even take your iphone with you to watch tv in bed! it would be like a handheld tv wherever there is wifi, and the key thing is its live and you can choose any tv channel you want.
